This is the only fitting tribute I can give him right now. I miss him dearly and always will. God Bless his kind soul. I collected these from the Ray Davies Forum archives. I Like Plaid. Those are awesome smiley. I remember every one of them. They made us (me and Mia) smile and laugh. It's such a shame. I only met him once at a Ray show in Chicago but had such fun hanging out with him that night. Plus he was a big Replacements fan like myself. I had a lot of PM's with him about music and such and he was just the best. So humble about his own art too. Tomorrow I'll be spinning his cd during work. I'm gonna miss that dude. Maybe someday we'll meet again.

my heart is broken. I loved TAG's words and his music. I hope he knows how much of his joy he shared. I was so hoping to meet him at the next shows. So very sad. my heart is broken. My sympathies to his (other) family....
And to Noisy....I am so very sorry to hear about your Dad. Please know I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

There was a lovely note from Brian posted to the gray board. He was a coworker and good friend of Tom's. It echoes some of the things that Melissa said in her message. It's very rewarding to see that forums are making a difference. It also has a link to the obituary: ********From Brian He is a link to Toms obituary www.legacy.com/philly/DeathNotices....rsonID=95890151Yesterday I spent about an hour with his family. I can't begin to describe how impressed and grateful they are for the outpouring of sympathy and love coming from this site. Reading the tributes and stories being told about Tom is truly helping them deal with there grief. It as also been helping me in my grief. For the last 3 years Tom and I worked side by side. becoming great friends in the process. He had told me so many stories about the friends he had made here that I can't help but feel that I know some of you. I just want to say thank you to everyone here for your outpouring of love. It is a great tribute to my forever friend. Brian

I have a TAG story. He came to chicago to see Ray on April 2nd 2006 at the Vic Theatre. He got there early as had a lot of us from the Gray board. We had a blast waiting literally for hours before showtime to guarantee our spots right up front. Inside TAG sets up right in front of Rays mic up against the stage. I'm right behind him to his left. I notice TAG having a huge smile on his face for most of the evening. Ray is clearly someone that he admired greatly. During the acoustic portion of Rays set he plays Village Green. There a line that goes "And Daisy's married Tom the grocer boy" and then Ray would pause and ask the crowd "And do you know why?" TAG was right on it and sings out loudly "because he owns the grocery!" It was classic. Ray smiled and pointed to TAG to give him props and said "That's right." TAG had a blast that night as did I. It was a great show. This is all captured for posterity on an audio bootleg of the show (which I can't find!) If anybody has the capability to post an mp3 of this on the board it would be very cool.
