Thought I'd add some photos of a couple of old NME articles I have about Ray. Funny how they both use headlines that play on 'A Well Respected Man'. These pics are from a 1977 (April 16th) article - And these are from a 1983 (29th October) article -

"The Memoirs of a Gentleman Neurotic" -- that seems strikingly apt!

;D
It's just a shame I didn't do a slightly better job with the photos! I'll have to see if I have anything else interesting I can dig out. I have more articles but thought these would be of the most interest since they are so old.

And how fun is this!? - I got some of my Hop Farm photos printed out at my local supermarket, you insert the camera card into this little machine, your photos come up on a screen and you pick what you want to print out. They had a 'gift' section where you can have a pic printed onto a whole range of things - so I had this Ray pic printed onto a purse My crappy photo doesn't do it justice, makes it look rubbish but it honestly looks much better then it does on this pic! -

Coloured vinyls I'm envious Sleepy! I picked up the Lola/Cell. vinyl at my record store here in town around 1990ish. But mine isn't coloured like yours!

Oh, you have this two John? Is yours a black vinyl then? I got these recently off eBay, all three together, and yes, I was tempted by the pretty colours! I was feeling sad about Lola (after the other garage tried to convince me she was knackered ) so I bid on them to cheer myself up and I won

I bought this promo only Kinks single off eBay about a month ago (A Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy/Black Messiah) - I've never seen it before, well I've never actually seen any vinyl like this one, it's a square vinyl in a round sleeve! The seller I bought it from says he used to work for Arista records and was given it whilst he worked there, he says he stored it away safely and never played it - can you even play a square vinyl!? I didn't pay a lot for it, it was up for auction and no one else bid so I got it quite cheaply (Sorry about the poor quality pics, got a new camera and still not sure hoe eveything works yet.)
