I thought I'd start this thread because I'm sure allot of us have buried KinKs treasure and it would be nice to share it. Picture sleeve art, promotional pieces, alternate LP covers.. et al! Do you have an old scrap book or an old Tiger Beat with the KinKs heads plasterd on Cartoon bodies?? En-KinKy-quiring minds wanna know! It's Spring cleaning time.. go forth and dig it out! This is a postcard, hand signed by the band, from the KinKs Kontroversy Fan club I used to contribute to. Some of you may have this as well. This is from Olga's Kollection, a Soap Opera Sticker These were a valentine gift, from some very close friends of the forum Another Valentine gift, from a fan, in the late 70's. More to come

Nice loot, Smiley!!! Especially that poster. And beautiful drawing too. You must show more. I lost a lot of mags, clippings and ALL my posters in a move. Also some T-shirts. I was out of the country at the time. (The posters were the ones you got in albums, except for my Return to Waterloo one.) But let me not dwell on that. Here's what I do have still: 2 Give the People What They Want folders (one's in pretty bad condition because I use it. The other is sealed in plastic). Kinks on Tour book/catalog 1981 Kinks on Tour 1985 15 buttons. Magazines that survived move: Creem Aug. 8/1983 Trouser Press, 8/80 Aquarian, 5/181983 Circus 1/20/76 Goldmine 10/10/86 Goldmine 3/19/93 Eastcoast Rocker, 3/25/87 Musician 1/87 Musician (don't have date. Lost the mag and now just have some pages. It's the one where underneath a pic of Ray it reads: Ray on Chrissie: "I knew what I was in for right away." Then I have clippings of when Ray married Pat, any little mention in People, Rolling Stone, etc.. A signed copy of One for the Road Autographed parking marker from the Spectrum, 12-14-84. T-shirts: unofficial low budget T-shirt Word of Mouth T-shirt with Ray on front (in a pic posted on KPS) Official Word of Mouth T-shirt Official Think Visual T-Shirt Official UK Jive T-Shirt Official Phobia T-Shirt Official Ray Davies T-Shirt I'll list records and tapes later. ;D This is fun, even though it makes my mouth water to see what other people have. But if I can't touch it, at least I can look. ;D IM should post that pic of his uncle's records here! I'll have to take pics later too.

This is getting painful. I think I'm feeling a wave of deep envy...No, it's all right. I'm OK. No, wait, it's coming back...

I just added complete dates to mags. When I get a scanner this summer, I can scan articles for people if they're missing something. I'd love to know what interviews others have to maybe share... And if Frank wants to share or just surrender his Schoolboys mobile, that would be lovely. I accept rare records too.

1. A reciept for aspirin from the hotel coffee shop when Ray finished the show when he knocked over the speaker stack. 2. An empty shoebox for running shoes from Ray's trash in the Garden District NOLA. Well not exactly empty, it had a pair of old shoelaces in it. 3. A shard of broken mirror from the hotel diningroom in Copenhagen after Dave pitched an empty cognac bottle at it. 4. A carbon copy of the decree finding Dave not responsible in the paternity suit. 5. An empty morphine ampule from beneath Ray's bed in ICU. 6. Dave's favorite recipe for curry 7. 2 PVC capes found in the trash behind the Clissold Arms in Oct. 64. 8. Princess Anne's private phone number on a torn piece of heavy #10 rag drawing paper 9. Broken shards of "I Can't Explain" found in the trash of #6 Denmark Terr.
