Hi Smiley! Thankyou for finding this thread for me! I'm logging out soon to have a bath (need to soak my aching joints ) but I will be sure to have a good look through this thread before bed. I'll get around to taking some photos tommorow - I'm sure I can find a few Kinky Treasures to photograph that might be of interest to others!

Smiley, those picture sleeves are cool! I had a good look through this thread and I'm quite envious of some of the Kinky Treasures folks have in their collections! I've seen that Kinky picture that you drew before it was good to see it again - I especially like how Dave turned out! I really like Frank's Sleepwalker paperweight - never seen one of those before! I thought I'd go ahead and take some piccies tonight, since I don't have to be up early and there's really nothing of interest to me on TV right now! I apologise for the size of my photo's but I have no idea how to make them smaller It was actually kinda fun digging out some of my treasures, I have mstuff that I'll add later. I hope others will contribute too and I'd like to see more of your Kinks stuff, Smiley! Here are my Kinks badges that I always keep on my fave jacket (including the one SMILEY designed! ) Here are my Kinks keyrings, earrings made from buttoon badges and the hexagon shaped thing is a ring. My Kinks mug that I use nearly every day (I think Holly has the same one) and Kinks cushion that was custom made for me. A Dave LP that I assume is not official (?) My God Save The Kinks promo only set that I believe came out in 1969. I've heard that only 500 copies were ever made but I'm not sure how true that is! It's in pretty good shape considering how old it is. The record 'Then, Now and Inbetween' is still in it's original shrink wrap. I spent ages trying to locate one of these! I think the set is complete, except for the Union Jack pin. Here's a close-up of the bag of grass from the box set Here's my Return To Waterloo Poster that I have on my bedroom wall Here's a few shirts. The top one is from the '83 State Of confusion Tour so this shirt is older then me! The middle one I got years ago online, I forget where. The third one is from the 70's, I've seen this listed on eBay recently for £250!! (No joke!) I think they're pretty rare, mine cost nowhere near that amount, it was pretty cheap as it had some marks on which I got out with stain remover - it's in great shape considering it's age!

Wow Sleepy, You have a Komplete box of TN & I. They are extremely rare to find complete and very expensive when you do find them. I'm very jealous!!!!!
I have a bootleg copy of the LP but have never purchased the box because of the cost.
I love all of your treasures and you have accumulated quite a booty!!
I have always wanted to do more drawings of the band. As I have said before, I included the Kinks in as many of my college art projects as allowed. most I can no longer find.
I too will dig put some more treasures to share. I hope the rest will join us.

Smiley, I don't think my box is quite complete as I think it should also contain a Union Jack badge but I think everything else is there. I remember you telling me that your proffs at college weren't happy about you doing to many Kinky pictures I wish you could dig out some more - I'd love to see them! I've only done 2 bits of Kinky art - the painting I posted on the Paintings thread, and the Kinky loo seat! ;D I'm glad you liked my treasures and I look foward to seeing more of yours too!

I sure do Smiley! I'll bet you regard that photo as a Kinky Treasure! Fancy sharing the story behind it with me - where was it taken? Yes, It was taken in Chicago. We got to meet Ray after the soundcheck. He was really nice when I asked to take some pictures with my kids! This is a photo of some of the party-goers from that evening. Unfortunately Uncleson missed this photo-op. Nobby, Milton and Dick we nice enough to pose with bumper stickers! I made the banner that everyone signed. It was later sent to KonK with some others from NY and NJ as a gift from all who signed.

Thanks for sharing these photos with us Smiley! That banner ROCKS! I see Frank in the first picture and also Olga (who I don't know but I see her name/pics come up often on Dave Emlen's website) Am I right in thinking I've spotted Kinkcan too? Shame Uncle isn't in the photo I have some old NME newspaper articles about Ray, I'll try add photos of those soon.

Thanks for the Kompliment on the banner. I did have fun making them. The lady in the photo does look allot like Olga but that is my friend Liz. Unfortunately, KinKcan did not make it to Chicago. I have one of him from Boston but can't find it now.

Great stuff Smiley and Sleepy. Thanks for sharing those treasures. I'm not a collector but I do have a bag of grass that looks quite like the one in Sleepy's collection. But I'm not really sure it has anything to do with VGPS or the Kinks. ;D
