I think we all have bands we could add to this list. But I voted for XTC. The Kinks haven't had the attention they deserved, that's for sure, but at least they still get airplay and are mentioned in most music history books.

The MC5 to this day are still one of my top all time favorite bands. I was lucky enough to see them live twice in the very early 70's! There are a few good videos of them on UTUBE but none do their live performaces any justice. As for Fat Matress I thnk the 2 albums I have by them are there only 2...they were definitely a good and interesting band. Since Ray was somewhat of a friend with Noel Redding I wonder if he is familiar with the band MC5 were great! I also liked Fat Mattress...

Yes, Fat Mattress made only two albums. I didn't realize that Ray and Noel were friends. Thanks for the information.
