Cooldad, I think your analysis of Then Play On is right on the money. My favorite tunes are 'Coming Your Way', and 'Oh Well'. But, as you say, the whole album is good. I think Then Play On was the last album with Peter Green. Maybe the imminent personnel change, and change in direction accounted for that feeling you describe as 'waiting for something to happen.'
KIln House, I believe, was that first album without Peter Green. You bet, Frank, it was straight on rock'n'roll. Hi Ho Silver was very good.
Frank, wasn't there a song on that one that was written for Buddy Holly?

Cooldad, I just bought "Leave the Light On" by Chris Smither. This is the second day I've been listening to it.
I really, love it, and am in the process of analyzing it. I really enjoy the accoustic guitar, and the beautiful slide. The songs are beautiful, as well. Im just now getting into the lyrics.
There is allot to this album, and I want to get deeper into it before I say any more!
Thank you for the tip. Leave The Light On is a great album!
