Not yet, I have something in mind but I don't know if I'll be able to finish it on time.

Those are both great! I especially loved Rock 'N' Roll Cities -- what a hoot!

Yes Sir, No Sir is one of the entries I have checked out, pretty cool, nice to see something a bit different. I guess a lot of people will cover Lola, YRGM, Waterloo Sunset, etc, so it's nice to see some folks are covering album tracks

Inaki, I already checked out your song, after seeing a link to it on Dave Emlen's site - I love it! In fact, I nearly posted it myself but thought I should leave that honour to you! I've listened to quite a few of the competition entries, some I really like, some I'm not so keen on, but this one definately meets my approval (not that you need my approval!) I love how creative this is, the way the songs flow together and tell a little story is so cool, it's something a little different and I like that! You have a lovely singing voice too, and considering English isn't your first language you pronounce all the words just as they should be. The best of luck to you Inaki, you've done a great job! If you do win... just make sure that Ray knows how much we all love him here on this forum! ;D

I agree with you Sleepy. I think that Inaki has done a very good job and his assemblage of different songs is a great idea.

Thank you very much Sleepwalker and Kinkcan for your comments, you're very kind. Jeff, great version, actually one of the best I've heard in the contest. I saw you're almost in the Top 50 so I voted you as well.

You're welcome Inaki, I really enjoyed your entry Dave Emlen has compiled his own list of the entries and there positions in the contest, he's updating it regulary as more people vote. Here it is - www.kindakinks.net/misc/covervotes.php

Several good entries on that, but oh, a lot of crap as well. And the ones at the top are NOT necessarily the best ones.

I don't want to say too much but I do agree that the top entries are not the best ones - not very creative or that original in my opinion. A lot of the entries that have far less votes are much better than the top entries. I'm also of the opinion that many of the entries further down on the list were more likely to have been submitted by real fans of the Kinks. Unfortunately I don't think the best entry will win It would've been far better if Ray himself was choosing the winner, I reckon the voting system is quite corrupt. And it's not like I have any ulterior motive saying this, as I didn't enter (not being able to sing or play an instrument made sure of that!)
