It's like an involuntary reaction with me. I do it all the time, people say things to me and I quote Tha Kinks back at them. It's REALLY annoying (apparently) ;D

Russel Brand is playing I'm Not Like Everybody Else on BBC radio 2. Not a song you hear on radio a lot.

Yesterday I heard Tired of Waiting and YRGM within 10 minutes of each other... I wanted to Drive VERY FAST, but the Traffic was in SLOW MOTION mode SO I CRANKED IT to 11!

I know this wasn't on the radio, but we don't have a "I heard The Kinks on the TV" thread. In the UK we have a satirical music panel show called "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" One of the rounds is the identity parade where the panelists have to pick an old star out of a line up. This is normally quite difficult, but it fell rather flat this week when everyone spotted Mick Avory straight away. As one of the panelists said "He's a legend" Still looking good.

Very cool Powerman!
Yesterday I was watching a terrible movie with a friend when suddenly Set Me Free started to sound. It became one of my favourite movies ever since then.

I heard "Motorway" today on WFUV. It sounded so good, so much better than all of the other songs. (Bubbleboy reporting to duty!) I am grateful that this station plays the Kinks and they advertise that they play cuts from records that no one else plays. I can't understand why they will play this song from time to time but never "Siting in My Hotel".

My son was watching that show on line. He came running into to tell me they were playing a Kinks song -- "the song that goes 'boo-boo beep' and has coffins in it", as he described it to me. "Dead End Street" was my best guess from that.
