The below is one of the most recent posts on the whats on stage forum for London theatre...I strongly urge everyone who sees the show to post their komments on here...Press night for the show is next week September 24th and it needs all the praise and publicity it can get if we want it to be taken to the next level...( even if you don't or can't see the show you can post something nice about Ray and what he means to you! ) please help and support our friend and hero Ray in Come Dancing...a dream that is very close to his heart, as he is to ours! Thanks, - FranK here's the direct link to that forum and thread... www.whatsonstage.com/board/index.php?showtopic=4778 you'll have to register first to post! and here is the link to Ray's Utube Come Dancing Video Blog ( Please also post your komments here too and support Ray ! ) "I went on Saturday night with my friends and I absolutely loved the show!!! Audience members seemed to come away on a high! We were dancing at the end! The show had something for everyone. There are some wonderful songs. I would definitely buy the soundtrack if it was available. The scenery and costumes are fantastic. The love story between Julie and Hamilton was in my humble opinion, so much more than 'him helping her up and her dropping her dress' as previously said. I thought their chemistry was amazing. I also found it very poignant with Ray Davies watching the proceedings and narrating as the storyteller, with a subject so close to his heart. Of course everyone is entitled to an honest opinion and we're all very different, but when Julie and Hamilton sang, the hairs on my arm stood up....and when the stage started revolving..... truly wonderful scenes!!! I know I overheard people commenting afterwards and they were all planning to see the show again!! I've been going to the Theatre Royal in Stratford since the 80's and the experience we had on Saturday night, with the bar on stage, the beautiful set, the cast mingling with the audience..... plus the supreme effort from Mr Davies and his strong cast......well we loved it all!!! I'm booking more tickets today! "
