There's this new series on HBO about vampires. It's real quirky and has a very distorted reality (vampires commonly inhabit this world and are looked down on by "regular" people. The pilot was this Sunday.

I watch most of HBO's stuff, and have HiDef Tivo on demand, so I plan of catching the episodes. I read two reviews that were mixed, but the only shows they put on that I didn't like were Carnivale and John from Cincinatti.

I caught the first show. Wierd. Gonna give it a few more, but the script needs some help and the acting was marginal.

Agreed on the acting but the story is so different I'm sucked in. Tonight sookie goes into the vampire lair to meet her pal's friends.

After three episodes I'm not so impressed anymore. Seems to be going the trash route. Lots of cheap dialogue, overacting, and hooking up for hooking ups sake. Not too much plot. Bummer. I thought it would be cool like Deadwood or the Sopranos.

Bummer. I thought it would be cool like Deadwood or the Sopranos. or Six Feet Under (the last 10 minutes of the final episode may be the finest American televison ever filmed).
