Just once I'd like to get a look at this secret safe where he hides away all the songs he's still working on.

Most underrated songs--not an easy task. I don't think I can pick one, and I reserve the right to add songs to any list I may make.
Let me start my saying that I love the hits (YRGM, ADAAOTN,SA,Lola, etc), and I love the acknowledged classics (Waterloo Sunset, Days, Celluloid Heros, VGPS) but will leave this off. (note: seems like every year I hear someone say that Waterloo Sunset is an incredible song, the last being Peter Stampfel--the eccentric folkie from NYC, Holy Model Rounder and Fugs fame--who said Waterloo Sunset was the best song from 1967--
I will concur with "Gods Children", "Strangers","Moments" and "Sitting in my Hotel" and would like to add
This is where I belong Phenominal Cat Have a Cup of Tea People in Gray Scum of the Earth Full Moon Stormy Sky Summers Gone Scattered There is no life without love
Not easy for me to keep the list short. Hope we get more someday.

Totally agree, it would be easy to make a case for most Kinks songs.

Thats a great choice Marrtin. How Are You and When You Were A Child , I feel, are also underrated, as is the Think Visual album in general.

My next choice is Scattered - again a beautifully crafted song from the excellent "Phobia" album. It's just a perfect song.
