Hello Kinks enthusiasts! We are having what is turning out to be our biyearly Kinks week at www.maxlugar.com starting Monday! My good friend Max runs a small Rolling Stones fansite, although from time to time we put down "Exile" and venture out into the sunshine....but only, of course, when the beer runs out. We encourage you all to stop by with Kinks song lyrics, pics, youtube clips, sound bites, interviews, etc. We love visitors, and if you like the place, stick around. Max has Muswell and One for the Road up on the MP3 player, so feast away. MP3 player: www.maxlugar.com/mp3s/wimpy.phpmessage board: www.maxlugar.com/forumAs for myself, I must confess to being a bit light on the Kinks, which is, I suppose, why we are having Kinks week in the first place. My collection includes: 1. Kink Kronikles - one of the best GH compilations of any band i've ever heard. 2. muswell 3. lola vs powerman 4. arthur 5. VGPS 6. think visual i also had a GH compilation from the early years when i was in high school. if anyone has any suggestions for other classic kinks albums to pick up, i'm all ears! thank you all for your time today! if someone would alert mick avory, i would be grateful. and no eagles fans allowed. henley gives me the hives.

Ah. The old Max Lugar crowd. Beware, floozies. I got trapped over there two years ago and only escaped through the gallant assistance of CompLife and No. 44. It was SCARY. ;D

I'll see you there next week Starbuck.
Four of the five The Kinks albums you have rank amongst the finest (not taking into akount KroniKles). I'm surprised they haven't got you coming back for more.
Anyway, since you ask, if you want to complete that selection, and assuming that many of the clasics from the early albums are in KroniKles, check out these ones:
60's-Something Else, Face to Face 70's-Preservation Act 1&2, Soap Opera,Schoolboys in Disgrace, Misfits 80's-State of Confusion L
