Welcome to the board! Did you have the pleasure of seeing Ray at one of his recent shows?

Lifelong fan. For some reason I had avoided seeing him/the Kinks all these years. Wife took me to the Philly show for my birthday. She became hooked and got us tickets to the Beacon three days later.
Now she is going through what I went through all those years ago, getting lost (for better or worse) in the Kinks catalog ;D

What a nice wife you've got! So glad she enjoyed it as well. She has quite a trip ahead of her...

Welcome Chrisrex, I was at philly too, great show. He was in top form. I will say this much: I'm not a HUGE fan of larger cities. I live in NJ but far closer to NYC than Philly. Not meaning to offend anyone, but (looking at it objectively) the Philly crowd was a MUCH better crowd than NYC. It was almost kind of a letdown at the Beacon after the electricity we felt at the Tower....

I was at Boston & NYC. The shows were both over the top incredible. But I must admit,, the outpouring of fan love, in Boston, far surpassed the big apple They chanted RAY..RAY..RAY at the end, begging him to return to the stage. In NYC, I tried to sit in my seat (much to do with security) but after 3 songs, I could sit no more. I moved to the far right side and started dancin. Then after intermission, I moved even closer. I found the floozies to the far left side and we grooved all of the night. WELCOME -- WE NEED YOU!

"The tower was MAGIC that night." It was a very surreal day for me. I started the day at the Mutter museum of medical oddities, looking at 27 lbs colons, a mummy which had turned to soap, and skeletons of two headed babies (it was a surprise for the wife... dont ask). I ended the day at the concert. Then, 2 hours back to northern Jersey. Still hard to completely wrap my head around that day's events... It's all a bit of a blurrrrrrrr
