The alternative group Cravin' Melon had a song with the chorus "On the 8th day God made sweet tea."

Pennyroyal Tea lyrics Kurt Cobain
I'm on my time with everyone I have very bad posture
I sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea Distill the life that's inside of me I sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea I'm anemic royalty
Give me a Leonard Cohen afterworld So I can sigh eternally
I'm so tired I can't sleep I'm a liar and a thief I sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea I'm anemic royalty
I'm on warm milk and laxatives Cherry flavored antacids
I sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea Distill the life that's inside of me I sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea I'm anemic royalty

Everybody loves tea! I drink a pot of it a day! Even Kurt loved his tea!

English Tea Paul McCartney
Would you care to sit with me For a cup of English tea Very twee, very me Any sunny morning
What a pleasure it would be Chatting so delightfully Nanny bakes fairy cakes Every Sunday morning
Miles and miles of English garden, stretching past the willow tree Lines of hollyhocks and roses, listen most attentively
Do you know the game croquet Peradventure we might play Very gay, hip hooray Any sunny morning
Miles and miles of English garden, stretching past the willow tree Lines of hollyhocks and roses, listen most attentively
As a rule the church bells chime When it's almost supper time Nanny bakes fairy cakes On a Sunday morning

I thought of another Kinks one that I don't believe we've had yet! From Berkeley Mews - I brewed another cuppa up And tried to sneak out early in the morning (I'm sure this must mean a cup of tea!) Seems Dave got in on the act too! From Fortis Green - Sunday after tea we would listen to the wireless

I've been listening to a lot of Emmylou Harris recently and here is a tune she did; Anne Murray also recorded it!
Another Pot Of Tea Written by Paul Grady
Put on another pot o' tea 'Cause I'm in love with the Irish accent to your story And I need someone to help me
Well they say that now you don't talk straight And that of late it's been my lot to be afraid To remember you by anything But memories I already keep
So put another pot o' tea 'Cause I'm love with the Irish accent to your story And now I need some sympathy
It's harder when it takes so long to leave The table where we all learned to laugh and learned to grieve Over the pain that came so close to you It comes so close to me today
So put another pot o' tea 'Cause I'm in love with the Irish accent to your story And I need someone to help me

I don't know this song John but those are some very nice tea related lyrics, thanks for adding them! I thought of something to add today, from the song The Entertaining Of A Shy Girl by Donovan - What shall it be Chocolate or soda ? I'm having tea Do speak louder
