I didn't know that we were putting them in order! Eeek! Also, I'd be remiss to not mention: Andy Partridge Paul Weller Lennon and McCartney and Danny Elfman (More for music than lyrics, although he did manage an occasional excellent piece of urban poetry. He strictly writes film scores now.) I'll stop. For now.

I keep finding cool threads here and there on this board. My top five are easy: 1. Bob Dylan 2. Ray Davies 3. Neil Young 4. Joni Mitchell 5. (Tie) Lennon/McCartney and Jagger/Richards Confession: I didn't want to leave either of the last two off, though I was tempted to include Van the Man Morrison instead, so I opted to have a 'tie'.
