There has been an upsurge in Small Faces videos available on Youtube--a terrific band. Here is one of my favorites--a song later covered by Todd Rundgren. Hard to beat this performance right here by the originals...
And when Steve left the band, they needed to replace him with two--Rod Stewart and Ron Wood (and become Faces), but they were not as good as the original Small Faces, in my opinion.

Saw the news today that the Small Faces are finally being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - Class of 2012. About bloody time. Poor old Steve and Ronnie were still alive back when they were first eligible. Still, I hope it gives more exposure to the band, whose greatness is evidenced by these videos. I think Afterglow of Your Love is my fave. At least it is this week.

I've got a few favourites but i can dwindle it down to:- Autumn Stone Tin Soldier Get Yourself together Good music will never fade and die. I'm sure my grandson will love them too when he's older (he's 3 now) Along with The Kinks of course and The Who!

It's truly a shame that the Hall of Fame "Voters" don't wake up to induct these truly hard working bands, that have left us a great body of work, until some of their members have passed. "Oh, I guess we better let them in!" DUGH! It happens in Sports and Entertainment all too often. ie; Chicago's own Ron Santo passed away last year and will be inducted into Cooperstown in 2012. He's been eligible for many years now and was broadcasting for the Cubs until the end of the 2009 season.

With Pete's Quaife's passing last year, the only major 60's band I think think of off the top of my head with all original members still alive is the Monkees. Pretty sure they aren't in.

Hes been eligible for the HOF for many years. I met him about two years ago at Northwestern where we were waiting in patient rooms next to each other. I heard his voice and went over to talk to him. He was a VERY nice man. Told him I was a Sox fan, but he was the best third baseman of his era, and that i thought he would be inducted by the coming review of the veterans committee. He was confident he would get in. Sadly he didnt. At least he got in post huminously. Its so sad he passed before his recent induction into the Hall.
