That's a tough one! I'd say "Sweet Lady Genevieve" - and "Days" of course!

"Scattered" is the one that always hits me hardest. Runner-up: "Autumn Almanac" I'll stop here and not go on to list a dozen others.

Scattered has always been one my favorites too.
Another song that's not mentionned very often and that always sounded very good to me is ''Schooldays''.

'Animal Farm' has always been one of my very favourites. While I do realize it's not their best song, nor their most ambitious, I love it mainly because of its bridge (Girl, it's a hard, hard world...). To me, that is one of the most emotional and touching moments ever written by Ray. The way he sings it, mixing the uplifting and optimistic with the nostalgic and the sad is just magic to my ears. And those barely audible strings playing in the background are a very nice touch. Then within seconds it all ends and the atmosphere becomes happy and funny again. Just great.
Others songs I really love are 'Shangri-La', 'Yes Sir, No Sir', 'Holiday', 'Alcohol', 'Big Sky', 'Mirror of Love' or 'Rosie Won't You Please Come Home'.

Good list Ovi! Animal Farm was Pete Quaife's favourite too (and one of mine).

I can't tell you what my very favourite Kinks song is, I have many, but I just wanted to tell you that I liked what you wrote about Animal Farm, Ovi VGPS is my fave Kinks album (fave album full stop for that matter) so I love all the songs on it, including Animal Farm. Inaki, I didn't know that Animal Farm was Pete's favourite!

It was quite a surprise for me when I found out but it's definitely a great choice. If I remember correctly I think his other two favourites were Dead End Street and Waterloo Sunset.
