This picture was probably taken later the same day that I was there because A.J. Weberman was there with me and is still in this picture, ( at extreme left ) and I know they were suppose to meet later that night again, unfortunately I could not make it back in time.

Holly will probably kill me for not saving this story for the book LOL
The day I met John.. That was when John and David Peel who I was some what friendly with performed on the David Frost show in 1971, I believe it was. A friend of mine that I jammed with in some bands and went to high school with was an original member ( guitar player ) in Elephants Memory ) although he left the band before John hooked up with them to join the Motels. Anyway John showed up at David's apt. on East 5th street on the Lower East Side ( around the corner from the Filmore East ) and I was there when he showed up. They were talking and preparing for the TV performance that I am posting the link here for below...you must see it !!! It was an amazing experience! This was the atom bomb of name dropping LOL !!! I later met John one more time very breifly back stage at The KinKs Preservation show Thanksgiving Night 1974 at the Felt Forum which shared some back stage areas and hallways with Madison Square Gardensince they were connected and that was the night John was there playing with Elton John for a few songs because he lost a bet to Harry Nillson. LOL!!!
David Peel and Lower East Side Elephants Memory and John on David Frost !
