Yeah, Max ran a fun little house party over there. I happen to think that Ray's recent stuff is very good, not that I'm prejudiced or anything. Listen to "In A Moment" or "Morphine Song" from Working Man's Cafe, or "Things Are Gonna Change" or "The Tourist" from Other People's Lives to get an idea.

I do hope we'll get visitors from Max Lugar's forum - when it came to music, they knew their sh*t.
And Max had the best avatar (it's now my wallpaper on my office PC)

how true that statement is. They got me to re-listen to Its Only Rock and Roll, and appreciate it for what it is, one GREAT album.
In addition, they have, and shared, great insight into the Stones' guitarists.

The Stones song Dandelion has John Lennon doing the background vocals. The Stones were John Lennon's pet project in the beginning. He gave them their first hit song "I want to be you man." He referred to the Stones has his alter ego and spend alot of time with them in the early days and in the sixties. The Stones song "We Love You" has John Lennon and Paul McCartney doing the background vocals.
Brian Jones also played on Revolver (Mellatron).

That's interesting, I always thought that the Beatles and the Stones had a healthy competition right from the start. But somehow this makes me sad -- since the Kinks had an unhealthy competition with them instead.
