While the rest of the world is busy watching the Olympics on TV...
Our reporters in the field tell us that our friends over at the Lotus Forum are a little discombobulated these days, because their site has shut down. (Hmmm....sounds like something that would have happened in the Kinkdom, not Stones Nation.) Hopefully we can get the word out to enough of them to drink up all the whiskey and wine we have laid in for the occasion.
But even if they don't show, we can devote a week to celebrating the Rolling Stones -- or, as CL I believe calls them, the band that Mick Avory left when he found a better band. ;D

Drink all that you can but remember: if you see a red door, you don't really have to paint it black .

Should we have the carpeting and upholstery Scotch-guarded before they get here? "Keep it Clean... Keep it Clean!!!" Kev thought they might like this in the studio!

Hello, I posted now and again on that site and am really sad that it's gone. So I've come here to join in the fun.
I liked the Kinks back in the day, saw them a couple of times, and have always enjoyed Ray Davies' songs, though must admit don't know any of his more recent material. I'm looking forward to Stones week - thank you for the invitation.
