It's called "49;00 Minutes of your Time Life" and is only available as a one track 45 minute download for 49 US cents. There's about 13-17 songs on it (no official titles) and it's quite a trip of a listening experience that's generating a big buzz on his message boards. You can get it here if you live in the States www.amazon.com/49-00/dp/B001CZCBEA/ref=dm_ap_alb1Or here if you don't. studio.tunecore.com/store/product/47It's very original in the way it's put together. He plays all music and instruments from down in his home studio of a basement. Very "outside the box". I'm in love with it right now and hope you guys will give it a listen.

H2, Nic6, IM, and anyone else, have you guys heard this yet?
It costs 49 US cents to download it. It goes right into Itunes.
It's really one of a kind. EG: He has his very young son sing lead on a punk rave up at the end. There's this feeling that you are in an old car turning the knob on the radio as you segue between songs.
There's a cover's "mash up" with snippets of The Beatles, Alice Cooper, Steppenwolf, Paul Simon, The Partride Family and more. It also has very personal songs about the death of his Father (Goodnight Sweet Prince) and the best rocker of his solo carreer (Devil Raised A Good Boy).
I'm interested what you guys think. For the price it's the best deal of the decade.

Nothing yet to report Frank. No rumors even. This is a post from someone on his message board regarding this release. I feel strongly the same. From: Wisers Deluxe >i'm -- oh, make up a number -- eleventeen listens in and still can't put it down or turn it off. as i and many others have written on this board, this album is what Paul has been striving to achieve all of his life. and the fact that he's attempted it and accomplished it, is a testament to why it's a one-man's masterpiece, tough to grasp in one nevermind 12 listenings, and hard to get your arms around. nit-pick all you want about the sound or the overdubs or how this doesn't pair up to Bastards of Young. and it shouldn't. this is Paul on the verge of turning 49. it's a mature, focused, post-alternative approach that lacks the sentimentality of Suicane and the over-produced wanna-be-a-hit flavor of Eventually. it's more complete than Mono-Stereo and Come Feel Me ..., and it's something that Folker once dreamed it would be. folks, this one's it. i believe we'll be comparing everything Paul puts out after this to this one. this is raw, unpolished and desperate, the desperation of this album something few of us at 20, nevermind 49 (and trust me i'm up there), have the guts or ability to tap into. it's this quality that got me listening to The 'Mats in the first place, and suddenly, 20-some years later, here it is again. enjoy this ride, cause i don't think it comes around all that often. and milk this sucker for all that it's worth, because it's that goddam good. twelveteen stars in my book.> For 45 cents you can't go wrong even if you hate it.

Tom, MP3 downloads from Amazon screw up my computer. But you tempted me so bad, I tried it again. And it still didn't work! Now I've got to wait for some geeky tech person from Amazon to call me. They've really got to work out the glitches in their system if they want artists to offer their music digitally on Amazon.

Yes, I downloaded the downloader. It has something to do with my firewall software, apparently, plus I don't really have enough disk space at the moment (in the middle of writing two books). Guess I'll just have to live without it for a while. Does he have any plans to release it on CD, or are we agreeing that that is a dead media?

No cd plans. People have made cool artwork if you burn a cd for yourself. I'd burn you one but the burner is broke. Some people are thinking the download is messed up because of the way he put it together. There's a disclaimer that says "all sounds are intentional". It gets kinda Sgt. Peppers after the 4th song. You gotta hear this one. I hear new stuff every time I listen. And the song about experiencing his Dad's death at their home is very moving. Then at the end you get his little boy playing Johnny Rotten. ;D Very cool stuff.

Yeah, my burner's broke too. Otherwise I could make room on my disc drive for this. I'm sure it's brilliant -- this is killing me not to hear it!
