I just had dinner with a friend who swears that he saw the Kinks with Squeeze as an opening act in Providence at the PPAC in the early '90's. I know from memory there was no tour date at the PPAC in the early 90's and I was ready to make my point but I can't find my Doug Hinman book anywhere! We bet money on this so someone help me. I was thinking Squeeze opened for the Kinks in the late 70's?

I know a hard core KinKs fan who was at Brown University at that time and they said No Way did that show happen...maybe possibly in the 80's and I doubt that too??? I can't find my Hinman book at the moment as well to be absolutely sure though Plus I think I would have been there myself

thanks Frank. i remember Jr's Fastlane. That wasn't it. It was definitely at the PPAC with Squeeze, couldn't have been the 90's. Thanks, Jennifer

I looked in Himan, the 93 show at JRs was with The Gift and the 87 show at PPAC was with John Eddie. I couldn't find any concerts when Squeeze opened for them.

Yes, I think my friend is mistaken, I think he saw a Kinks concert at the PPAC in the 70's and maybe Squeeze at the PPAC in the 70's and combined the two?!!

That's the problem with those 70s concert experiences....
