THE LETTER FROM OLGA TO THE KPS AlumniHappy 3000th issue Neil! There is a surprise waiting for you at
neilkinksottenstein.googlepages.com/We hope you enjoy it! :-)
For KPS members:
Please don't be offended if we were unable to contact you personally, but
because of data protection it was difficult to get hold of everyone on this
list. It needed to be done in secrecy, so we couldn't go live on Dave
Emlen's site or the forums or message boards.
If you would like to add your voice to the Neil tribute website, please
write to Robert Young at
young53@roadrunner.comAll you need do is say when you first found out about the digest, what the
Digest means to you, and some words for Neil. If you want to write something
a bit longer, please go ahead. It would also be great if you could include a
photo of yourself (it saves Robert time looking for something else to put on
your page!)
Jayne and I sent out several Round Robins to alert Kinks fans of the tribute
we were working on, and asked people to pass the message on, but I don't
think that part was very successful! There has also been trouble with
emails to Robert going missing, or bouncing. If you sent an entry in the
last few weeks and it's not on the website, please will you resend it to the
address above. If you sent it in the last couple of days, you left it a bit
late, but it will be on the site shortly.
I would like to thank Ben Elsendoorn who in August came up with the idea of
marking this anniversary in some way. Thanks also to the many people we had
initial discussions with. Superthanx to Jayne Morgan who helped with admin,
ideas, hassling and nit-picking, Sharon Iles for the delightful reworking of
the photos and Dave Emlen for advice. Finally to Robert Young, who had me
snapping at his heels when fires and floods were striking in his home town
in California, and while he was also in the final stages of studying for his
Masters Degree. He has worked so tirelessly to get everything up on the
website while also trying to earn a living and have some sort of life!
I hope you all enjoy the tributes and that the website pages will increase
in the next week. Maybe Robert can then get back to a less complicated life
:-)
Thank you Neil; you and the KPS mean a lot to us!
Enjoy....................
