Looking for any information on an unusual stop motion video for You Really Got Me. This featured GI Joe with a beard (known as Action Man in some territorys), Barbie and a gorilla in doll form, stop motioned. Anecdotally it was made by film students, possibly at Swinburne Technical College, prior to 1987. It was often paired with a similar clip for The Troggs' Wild Thing, in the medium of cut out animation, by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. There may be a common origin.

Wow -- this sounds very cool. I myself have never seen or heard of this. Maybe you should post a notice on the Kinks Digest. Send an email to neil@kindakinks.net and he will put it up on the email list.

Sent it to Kinks Digest.
From an April 1987 news report on the inception of ABC's Rage (or rage). "Sydney College of the Arts".
