You may;ve caught on I'm in hospital. A nurse saw my Kinks cutout on my wall and offered to have me taken to see the musical Sunny Afternoon. Could not be more excited.
Hi, welcome to the board! I'm sorry you have to be in a hospital. I know all about that, having been bipolar for almost 20 years. I hope they are treating you well there. I know you may feel a bit trapped there but it appears they are letting you enjoy some Kinks stuff. That's good and I hope it helps you get through what you're dealing with at the moment. I've been through a lot in my life and thus I have tremendous empathy for those who struggle in this world. I wish you the very best and I want you to know someone out there cares, even if it feels like no one does.
I read somewhere, to learn is to remember
and I've learned we all forgot - King's X
That's a wonderful story, Sunny. I really hope it works out for you to go to the play. I've been wanting to see it for ages. And how lucky that you're being cared for by such empathetic people.
Tim, thanks for sharing your story as well. You are one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know.
Sunny, as you may know, Ray Davies has had his brushes with mental issues as well. I think that's part of why he's so creative, and why he has such sympathy for the misfits of the world. As much of a star as he is, I think he still sees himself as a misfit. As do we all here...
