"I'm breathing through my mouth so I don't have to sniff the air." What's the meaning behind that? Is there any? Brilliant song by the way.

Hi Ovi, of course native English speakers will be able to help you more than I will but I think it has to do with the previous line: "And the sea's an open sewer, but I really couldn't care".
The sea smells really bad, that's why he prefers to breathe through is mouth rather than his nose. This way he can pretend he doesn't care about it.

Yes, I understand this line the same way as Iñakink. With a little topical reference to air pollution. It always reminds me of that other line in "Apeman," "the air pollution is a-fogging up my eyes." (Or something like that. )

Yep, I think the same as Holly and Inakink. Although I've always read a tiny bit more into it - it's a bit of an in-joke that us British always try to make the best of our holidays within the country even if the weather's bad or things don't go to plan. I've always thought the song was about Ray just being glad to be having a holiday, even if the sea's polluted and he has blisters and sunburn!
