Got the DELUXE editions of Kinda Kinks, Face To Face and The Jam's Sound Affects (with Dead End Street and Waterloo Sunset) for 10€ each, plus a discount of 10€ I can spend during the next year.

Ok, so not exactly an album purchase but here's what I won on eBay yesterday - I wanted this one track promo disc as the version of the Kinks Choral Collection I have is not the special addition so it doesn't have Postcard From London on it.

I did not purchase it, but listen to this. I´ve been listening a lot to a group from Norway called The Dahlmanns. Little Steven have mentioned them so I started listening - and it´s just a magic twist between pop and Ramones. However, I couldn´t find any place to buy their records, not even on Internet. I wrote a question on my wall on Facebook wondering how to buy The Dahlmanns records. A few days later I got a big parcel in the mail. I opened it and there it was - the brand new album All Dahled Up, both on vinyl and cd, and it was written Happy Birthday from Andre Dahlmann and Line Dahlmann. Ain´t that great???!!!

That's one of the coolest stories I've ever heard! I think I'll post a question on my Facebook wall wondering how to buy Kinks albums.

MrL, I have to say that I'm not familiar with the band you're talking about, but I think it's really cool that members of the band sent you a vinyl and CD - what an amazing surprise that must've been!! What a lovely thing those band members did for you! Now I just need to work out how to get Ray to send me something...! ;D

MrL, this is incredibly cool! So catchy and very power poppy! I like this kinda thing, this band sounds a LOT like the Prmitives or Voice Of The Beehive - two bands that I really like! You should post this on the Power Pop thread, it would be a great addition there! I reckon Tim and John would like this too Thanks for this Mr L!

Wonderful story! And how clever of the Dahlmanns to figure out that you are such an opinion-maker, it's worthwhile to get you into their camp.

Hey Sleepy - listen to this The story, marvelous, and the sounds very nice, they're a kind of a cross between Buddy Holly and Abba!

I just got the copy of Thrillington that I bought on eBay. One track seems to be damaged and stops abruptly mid-song. And it's "Dear Boy," the very song I just wrote about on my blog! I'm very annoyed.
