The Doors were playing at The London Fog in 1966 and soon moved to the prestigious Whisky a Go Go. However, they never did get to be the house band at The Whiskey.

Although Van McCoy was known as a disco one hit wonder with the Hustle, he was actually a well respected producer and songwriter for soul/pops acts such as the Shirelles and Gladys Knight. McCoy even wrote a tune that became a UK pop hit for the British Invasion band Chad and Jeremy.

You are correct uncleson! Van was a soul writer and producer; but the song he wrote for Barbara Lewis 'Baby I'm Yours' later became a UK hit for a British Invasion duo; but it was Peter and Gordon, not Chad and Jeremy. You're up uncleson!
