We have had a few things Micheal. The BBC already showed Ray Davies - Imaginary Man a few months ago - its a brilliant documentary! I also remember watching Ray's performance at Glastonbury on TV You're right though - its about time we had something like this on British TV! I'm really looking foward to it, especially the documentary about Dave. I don't have BBC4 but I'm confident that I'll be able to watch it online on BBC I Player

Micheal, here is a link where you can watch Ray Davies - Imaginary Man - if you can't wait until the 15th!! (The link is from our forum) Its shown in several parts but the whole documentary is available to watch Here it is - kinksfanclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=articles&action=display&thread=1864BTW, the Yesterday (history) channel on freeview sometimes shows programmes about the 60s, although not always about the music. I did watch something on there last year, a programme of archive performances of 60s songs - one of them being the Kinks doing Waterloo Sunset

Typical of American TV -- hundreds of channels and none of them with the programming we want!

I had a feeling that would be the case Kinkcan - Sorry! But I posted them in the hope that they might work outside the UK.

So how was the evening? Did any of you in the UK see it? I like the idea that all across the country, thousands of people would be watching these programs at the same time. I wonder if the Kinks will come up more often in casual conversations as a result of this nationwide exposure.

The documentary about Dave was just as good as the Imaginary Man documentary about Ray. The Kinks At The BBC was good fun to watch - a whole hour of performances! Sorry that the link didn't work Kinkcan I do hope it becomes available outside the UK soon!
