I just found out that KonK studios recently sold one of their classic recording consoles the vintage Neve 8048 that was owned by Ray. It was in Konk Studios for years, and was a big draw and reason that some bands wanted to record there. It was sold to the Derek Trucks band for their studio The Neve 8048

Kevin asks.... Was this the same board that Ray/The KinKs purchased from Pink Floyd that "THE WALL" was recorded on? Does anyone know? Kevin is going to college for Sound/Audio Engineering next fall and this is of great interest to him. Thanks! I'm sure Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes will put it to GREAT use!!!

Was just informed the Neve console at Konk that was sold was not their main Neve vintage console that has been at Konk since 1978...so that's good news!

They did sell one just not the vintage one that's been there since the 70's.
