Need help getting aquanted with the band!

Okay. I am 13 and in the states so there is virtually no one I know who likes The Kinks. So I've gone to the internet in search of help! After all its kinda how I discovered the band (I was looking on itunes for a song and wasn't sure of its name. I knew it had christmas in it but wasn't a 'christmas' song. So I searched 'christmas rock' and while browsing I found a song I remebered from my early childhood, Father Christmas).

Anyway at the moment I only have one album. . So in short I need more. I like these songs the most:

Come Dancing

Father Chrismas

Scattered

Rock'n'Roll Fantasy

Lola

Misfits

Some other bands I like are:

The Beatles

Queen

Alice Cooper

The Who

The Clash

With this information I hope you can give me some suggestions on what to buy! But at my age I'm on a 'Low Budget' *Sings* Thanks!

Well, when I was a lad I started with Low Budget. Then got the compilation Kink Kronicles.

I would say to concentrate on albums from Face to Face through Muswell Hillbillies. Many people consider the years 65-71 the Kinks golden era. You can't go wrong with those.

There's another best of called The Essential Kinks or something. You might wanna try that.

Also, you might wanna check out Ray Davies message board. Lots of friendly people there to help you.

Start with The Kink Kronikles. You won't go wrong. It's a 2-CD set on Reprise in the US. If you can find a used copy, go for it.
