I'm down with it if there's still room. I've done this stuff before and really enjoy it. It's my replacement for the gold old days of radio.

Absolutely, SV, I'll add you to the list! Just PM me your address and email me your 2 tracks.
From what I've already received -- which is most of the material by now -- it's gonna be tasty indeed.

We appreciate a lot your efforts, Holly and Sharon. I'll take the next round, I've had an idea for a CD and I think it can be very cool, so when this one is over and after some time has passed I'll post about it. Several years ago I participated in a "themed" cassette club where each person started a tape and sent the tape to the next person in the list. That person would add a song, attempting to interpret the theme, and send the tape to the next person in the group. If there were 8 people in the group, 8 tapes would be making the rounds. The tape would eventually return to you and could see how your theme progressed. The idea was great and I heard some wonderful music along the way. However... However, the tapes always ended up stuck somewhere along the way and only once did my original tape actually make it back to me. Basically, the people would find it difficult to add a song, get to the post office, etc. I still gamely tried, accepting that if I heard one great song I'd not known about it, it was worth trying. The last attempt was a CD swap club where everyone was paired with a partner and shared discs. That format worked pretty good and few people promised, but didn't deliver. We had several rounds of swaps. We have since switched to a gmail song mailing list. That was great for a while, but most of the participants have dropped off and the traffic is very light these days.

We've done those round-robin CD swaps in the past too and they were always popular. Except then people would come on and rave about the great mix somebody had sent them and then other people would beg for a copy -- CoolDad in particular has a line going out the door every time he produces a mix CD ;D so it seems easier to do a communal effort in the first place. An email song swap system might be fun to try...for those of you who have the capability.

gmail's 2 gig mailbox capacity allows sending songs with few issues. I think you can attach as much as 20 mb per email, too.

Of course it does. Ray, summer, music...what else would one need. This is the kind of "Sitting In The Midday Sun" philosophy... I love it!

There's a little of Ray in every picture if you look hard enough.

How about we THINK of Ray while listening to the CD! I am sure the artwork will be as excellent as always.
