Anyone listening? RAY mentioned he was 'talking the other night with my friend FRANK' within first 2 minutes of interview! Said his band is more cohesive now...implied more comraderie.... 'the other nite the guitar player helped the bass player out of a bar.' ;D Sounds VERY enthusiastic about Hampton Court. First half of show with band. Second half with choir doing Shangri-La among others. Also just said they MAY come back in the fall 'nite dear Kinkster friends, everywhere! how the heck am I gonna get up & drive an hour tomorrow morning?

I love the fact that he talked about jazz legend Charles Mingus (one of my heroes) and the making of the tribute film Weird Nightmare (which he produced). I've listened to the first part--really really good interview.

You need to use Internet Explorer. I first tried it using Firefox and it didn't work. But once I switched to IE, it worked fine. Not sure if that's your problem.

The show's host, Jonathan Clarke, recalled his parents taking him to see The Kinks when he was 12 years old at the Philharmonic Hall (now the Avery Fisher Hall) in NYC - the night Ray lost balance and fell backwards into the wall of speakers. Ray answered that he was talking with his friend, Frank, about it the other night - Ray truly believes his drink was spiked because he blacked out during "Apeman", just as he was singing 'I don't feel safe in this world no more'.

Yes Ray and I did indeed discuss that infamous KinKs show last Monday night the night off between the Boston and NY shows and I had to refresh him on the exact details of what occured that night, since I got onto the stage and helped Kenny Jones ( their long time your manager ) drag Ray off stage...I also reminded Ray of details of some other chaotic KinKs shows does anyone have the link of the audio of this interview?

Frank, I'm not allowed to play it since you have to live in the USA to do it, so I don't know if it works, but I think if you go to q1043.com/iplaylist/artist/35394/ and click on "Ray Davies - Play All" you should be able to listen to it.
