I'm so excited about this! York and Manchester are only about an hour away from me so I'm hoping I can go to at least one of those shows.

Good news if my usual gig friend wants to go Kinkcan! The two shows I'm interested in are both on a Monday so it will also depend if he can get those days off work! I'm just suprised that Ray seems to be doing so many shows, as well as the Come Dancing concert, I just hope he isn't taking too much on. He really amazes me, he's more then twice my age yet seems to have so much energy - there's no way I could cope with all that travelling, you really have to admire him! I've heard rumours of a new Ray album coming soon, plus theres a new Kinks boxset (at the BBC) that's just been released - maybe he's on a mission to promote these new things and that's why he's touring so much? I'm just happy that I can put things on my calender that I can really look foward to - although I'm wondering if I might now have to abandon my idea of taking a short holiday later in the year.

When Ray announced his 2012 North American summer tour, it was again scheduled in the middle of my busy work time (and he is to have a rest during the time I could attend his shows ). I was spewing. It was as if he was avoiding me .......and then this UK tour was announced and BANG! It starts on the 2nd week of my holiday time! I've waited for this opportunity for a looooooong time! Plus, the currency I get paid in is doing all right against the British pounds, otherwise, I couldn't afford to do this.
And the best part is that I was able to get front row seats for most of the gigs I'll attend.
I'M VERY EXCITED!

Hi Sleepwalker24, You'll see me in Manchester and Gateshead. Tourist, I'm not sure if you've ever looked at the Pix And Fotos Of Users thread, but I've posted photos there - so if you recognise me at either show, please do come over and say hi! What row are you in for the Manchester and Gateshead shows, Tourist? I'm in row A which I think (I'm hoping!) is the front row.

Yes, ROW A is the front row and I'll be sitting there at both shows. I haven't had a chance to look at your photos yet.........but I think you'll spot me easily, because I WILL look and sound like a "tourist" in Britain!

Thanks for confirming that row A is front row Tourist - that makes me happy! I'm in row A for both shows too - won't it be funny if we sitting next to each other? I'll look out for the guy who looks like a 'Tourist' in Britain then! ;D Do you mind me asking where you are from? It sounds like you'll have a long journey to these shows, I guess you must be a pretty dedicated fan!

I wanted to make sure that I wasn't spending $$$ on bad seats, so I rang them up before I accepted the seller's offer. I'm flying over from the country where people surf like they do in the USA
