In 1974 I was heading to Kinderhook, NY and The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald came on. It's like what - 10 minutes long?? I wasn't driving yet so I had no control of the radio. The records skipped oh so slightly at one point. Don't know when because I must have nodded off. the DJ played it over again.
I agree with all the recent ademdums to this list, in particular Queen (most overated artists in the world probably), and Mr Comp./Smileys list:(STYXREOSPEEDWAGONTOTOJOURNEYKANSASFOREIGNERRUSHETC.. Beast), as somenone asked in this forum once, are'nt they all the same band?
I got nothing against Girl from Ipanema though. I think it's a pretty song, though must admit it suffers from overkill, a bit like Yesterday and that sort of tunes.
