I need to buy a second copy of it, if i can find it. and a third copy of think visual. So many Kinks CDs seem just plain rare... I got lucky with scoring a copy of Think Visual for five bucks... Lord knows when I'll run across a copy of Phobia, but for certain it'll be one more happy day.

I did find that second copy of Phobia, on amazon i believe.
I could kick myself-used to see many copies of Think Visual in the record store bins at Coconuts years ago, and they were like five to seven dollars! And i never thought they would become hard to find, so i didnt buy them, for myself!
they were such good deals Id buy them for nephews and friends for Xmas presents-trying to turn them all on to The Kinks!!

Phobia was rare for awhile; now you can get it for under 4 bucks on amazon! Think Visual is the one that is rare now!! I found a copy of TV in a discount bin in the 90s! I'd grab Phobia off amazon if I didn't have it! I got it at Turtles in Montgomery the day it was released in 93'! Lucky me!
FYI Will! Turtles disappeared in this area (late 90s) and came back later with 2 stores in Auburn in the 00s before closing shop 06, 07 ish! FYE replaced the Turtles in the Auburn mall. Turtles was pretty cool!

Phobia is one of the best underrated records of the 90's. Not a single miss.

Phobia is one of the best underrated records of the 90's. Not a single miss. So true. In like manner, Think Visual is also an under-rated gem. Ive never fully appreciated UK Jive, though I havent really tried, I suppose.

Um...ER... I'll just stock to my guns on Phobia!!! LOL So did we Sharon! Uncle is right about Think Visual - musically spoken it's a strong and compact album with great songs and fantastic lyrics. And there are two excellent songs by Dave. A true classic!

There are a few misses on each of these albums, IMO. I mean, come on, "Babies"? They ain't perfect. But the good tracks are incredibly wonderful.
Of the three, I'd say that Think Visual is the strongest. Except for "Welcome to Sleazy Town," which IMO is fun but a throwaway, it's one winner after another, held together by a consistent theme. "Working at the Factory" and "Lost and Found" are among my favorite Kinks tracks, and "When You Were a Child" is one of my favorite Dave songs.
Unfortunately these 3 all had horrible covers. Think Visual looks like it was thrown together at a copy shop by a pair of teenagers. I can't help but think this didn't help sales.

Ah... if only. Yes I saw Think Visual in the bins at the shops as well. I've bought "We Respected Kinks" for several friends at that absurdly nice price of $3.99... great little collection at that price, and the vintage photos and linr notes are fun, as well.

I really don't like Phobia at all but I will give it another spin just to appease all of you.

Well, it does grow on one. But it is among my less favorite Kinks albums. It was a weird time in their history. Luckily both Ray and Dave have gone to create much more incredible music since then. But it makes me a bit sad to think of this as their swan song. (Another argument for a REUNION!)

Phobia is certainly one of the best records of the 90's! LOVE the whole album! Excellent songs brilliantly executed!

"Phobia" is my very favorite Kinks album. Brilliant words, music, and performances throughout!
