Bub, Tim is not around much so I told him that you really enjoyed it ! He was really glad about that! I wonder if I can get Tim to brainstorm on some palindromes too!

A cheeseball video for sure, but features the legendary licks of guitar god Yngwie Malmsteen!

Look closely at the bodybuilders and you should spot a pre-fame Arnold Schwarzanager (ie 1:01, 1:36). The hot blonde, lead guitarist and shared lead singer Kelly Johnson, sadly passed away a few years ago.

You're welcome Martin! Did you check out the Alcatrazz video above it? It's a cheesy video but you get to see legendary metal vocalist Graham Bonnet display his pipes. He looked more like a member of ABC than a metal vocalist which was part of the cheese factor, especially in that video! Legendary guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen was the original guitarist (1983-1984). A correction to the my prior statement; former Frank Zappa guitarist Steve Vai replaced Malmsteem for the God Blessed Video and the album it came from in 1985.
I was reminded of the line 'Everything is better with Graham Bonnet on it'!

John, I just checked out Alcatrazz' Video - pure energy. Wasn't Graham Bonnet once the lead singer of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, and very earlier on, one of the two original members of "The Marbles" in the late 60s? Graham is in very good form here. Excellent Video, thanks!

Wow Martin! You knew this off the top of your head. Tim could have answered this better than I. Yes, I was aware of him being in Rainbow. I just looked him up to get a full read. Bonnet was actually approached by Sweet to replace Brian Connolly and at the same time tabbed by Blackmore to replace the unreal Ronnie James Dio in Rainbow! Bonnet went with Rainbow, which wiki says was odd because he had considered himself an r and b singer! I love his vocals on Since You've Been Gone!
Bonnet was indeed in the Marbles, which reached the UK Top 5 with the Bee Gees penned Only One Woman in 1968.
Bonnet had a Top 5 solo single in Australia with his cover of 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue'.
He later joined the Michael Schenker Group (Schenker was in the early Scorpions, UFO guitarist) for their Assault Attack album.
Tim and I saw him on an episode of this season's 'That Metal Show' on VH1 Classic a few weeks ago! He was looking quite fit and I'm sure his vocal chops are still great!
Steve Vai and Malmsteen were pretty good guitarists to surround him with!

Great info, John!
Michael Schenker - he was an incredible asset when he was with UFO. The band had their best and most creative time with him. To me UFO were at their best with him.

Do you get That Metal Show or Vh1 Classic where you are Martin? The host, Eddie Trunk, is a massive UFO fan and talks about them on almost every show. I need to learn more. I was just looking at picking up some Scorpions when Udo was guitarist; the early more heavy band. Tim knows so much about metal; he'd love talking about some of this stuff.

I remember my sister buying Graham Bonnet's single "Night Games" in the very early 80's. It was on vinyl of course, and i think she wore the record out!!

Miss Sweet 16, at least in a cool high school, was your sis;, 16! She was actually into some great stuff as i remember at that time! Early Ultravox, Visage, Vision (Whose single "Lucifer's Friend" is certainly worth a listen on youtube if you've never heard it!) and The Associates (Who i also loved too, singles were "Club Country" and "Party Fears two" and i also recommend a listen on youtube! ). She had great taste in music in those days!

I have to check if I can get That Metal Show or Vh1 Classic, John, I'll let you know. UFO (with Michael Schenker) wrote Rock History with the Albums "Phenomenon" (1974), "Force It" (1975), "No Heavy Petting" (1976), "Lights Out" (1977) and "Obsession" (1978). Michael Schenker left the band in 1978 but has rejoined about three times. Michael Schenker is Rudolf's brother who is still with The Scorpions. Hope you and Tim like it!
