I applaud Sleepy's posting of 'Going Down To Liverpool'; it's one of my fav rock city songs! I prefer the original and writer Kimberley Rew's guitar tone a bit so I'll list it too: Going Down to Liverpool - Katrina and the Waves Funkytown (where is that? ) - Lipps Inc. in check San Antonio Stroll - Tanya Tucker Johnny Cash's ultra fast paced version of Hank Snow's 'I've Been Everywhere' contains more cities and places in a song than any other I can think of!

Oh, and good thinking to mention 'I've Been Everywhere' John! Thats such a great song and mentions a phenominal amount of places. I have to say I only know the JC version though! Yes, it even mentions the rarely heard town of Opelika, Alabama; which is actually basically an extension of the famous Auburn University (Auburn, AL) in the way San Fran and Oakland are connected or Dallas and Fort Worth. We get a kick out of that, being that we are close by! JC probably modified it a bit to include more of the places he'd been; which was nearly everywhere! Very nice Sir Douglas and Doug Sahm picks Holly!
