Thanks uncle and Martin! I was fortunate to be able to pickup the Never to Be Forgotten boxset of Bobby Fuller's a few years ago after the excellent Rhino Best of made me want to hear more!
I was known for being the lead singer on a long string of light pop hits, dominating the charts through the entire 1970s. Some would be surprised to know that this singer was considered an exceptional drummer among their musician colleagues, which gave this artist great satisfaction.
Who am I ?

You are correct uncleson!! The best explanation is from this blurb on wikipedia! Recognition of drumming skills
Carpenter started playing the drums in 1964. She was always enthusiastic about the drums and taught herself how to play complicated drum lines with "exotic time signatures," according to her brother.[8] Carpenter's drumming was praised by fellow drummers Hal Blaine, Cubby O'Brien, Buddy Rich[10] and by Modern Drummer magazine.[11] According to her brother, Carpenter always considered herself a "drummer who sang." Despite this, she was not often featured as a drummer on the Carpenters' albums. She was, however, the only drummer on the album Ticket to Ride and on the songs "Mr. Guder" and "Please Mr. Postman." The role of drummer in the Carpenters entourage was mainly taken over by Hal Blaine as she went from behind the drum set to the front of the stage.[12]Uncleson, you're up!

We were/are referred to as a blue eyed soul group from New Jersey primarily active with all original members from 1965 ~ 1972. The next reunion including all original members began 40 years later at the end of 2012 and continued into the first several months of 2013.
Who are we?

Thanks uncleson! I think I might get out that Rhino Anthology or the Rascals. It has a massive booklet in it with everything you'd ever want to know about the band! I think I'll listen to my Everly Brothers Cadence Years and Warner years anthologies today though!
I'll be back soon!
