I recently got her shaved down for the Spring - everyone in the neighborhood says, "Honey got her haircut!" and I say, "Yeah, she saw Brittany Spears did it so she wanted to do it too"

LOL LOL.. Dusty update.. she's doing great now. On perscription diet and back to chasing rabbits -- her favourite sport besides beating on her little (big) brother! Now on the EZ, long term payment plan. Should be done in 2012 -- YIKES

I feel your pain, iles! ... My heart's still broken over our Spike. Had to put him to sleep Sept 2005. He was 14 & the cutest little black cock-a-poo ever. He'd been attacked by my in-laws monster dag in '02, got stress-induced diabetes, shots every 12 hrs for 3 yrs, went blind, operation to restore sight, IT WORKED! then lost sight in one eye again, then stopped eating, hand/dropper fed a full 6 mos...then other eye lost...stopped eating altogether for 2 wks but HE STILL DIDN'T GIVE UP!!!...many tests, dr. visits, etc.... GRAND TOTAL over the years:$ 20K !!! I may NEVER be able to retire! At one point, a family member suggested we stop trying to save our little Spikey..."It's only a dog!!". My son looked at him and said, "Uncle Danny, it's only money!" I was very proud of him. Love to Dusty and all our 4-legged KINKY friends!

Yes.. It's not just a DOG in our house. Neither were any of our pets.. they were/are family. I still get choked up when I see pictures of all my lost furry babies. Dusty cost us a small fortune.. but thank God and the good Doc's of Riser Animal Hosp, they were able to save her and they take payments! ;D This poem always makes me feel a bit better about my lost loved furry ones. rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm

That poem is sure to bring out Mrs. T, Iles. Good to see that Dusty is doing fine. Today is Cooper's 1 year Birthday.
