Woman From Tokyo
Holly, you might know Hush as the tune written by Joe "Games People Play' South for Billy 'Down In the Boondocks' Royal; which I think Royal had a minor hit with. Uncleson is referring to the Deep Purple version of that song and also the other 2 are DP. Hush was a big hit in fact for DP in the US and Canada.

Nice blog about the Searchers Holly! I've always enjoyed the Searchers ringing 12 string stuff as much as the Byrds (although the Byrds were more wide ranging and prolific). I've always liked 'Take Me for What I'm Worth' as one of their best lesser known tunes. My favorite of their later period is their cover of power pop group The Records song that was written specifically for the Searchers (The Records did a fine version too). Hearts In Her Eyes - Searchers I love those Will Birch tunes! He also wrote some great stuff for Dr. Feelgood, and his recent biography of Ian Dury makes extremely good reading. Sorry, can't answer the current T, T, or T because I don't know those songs.... I need to check out some Dr. Feelgood as I know they were a pub rock contemporary of Brinsley Schwarz!
