Your work looks like it has been inspired by that book. I'll have to fetch it out of my library and get the name of the author/artist so you can see if you see what I'm talking about! His work is brilliant and I know you would love it and I do.
I will post some of my work but I don't want to compete with your thread. Let's continue to make this YOUR Portfolio!!!

Smiley, I would love to know what this book is if you can find out who the author/artist is - I'm intrigued! There's a library in my town so perhaps I could check it out And of course I would'nt think you were competing with my thread Smiley! I would'nt mind you posting your art one bit, in fact I'd love to see your work - as I'm sure others would too! We are all on the same side and I'm sure this place is big enough for 2 artists! I also thought I might dig out some more paintings/drawings to post here, its been a while since I added to this thread. I might post some things I have made too, I like to make things from Fimo, like little ornaments and jewellry so perhaps I can post pics of these too

Yes... please post away! I am surely an ART LOVER and enjoy your work! These folks have seen my stuff, but for the newer members, like yourself, I will oblige. ;D But in nominate you to do the CD artwork on the next compilation if you are up to it. Hope your on the mend!!! Now I gotta figure out how to plant that suff here on a thread. Holly, can you help me figure out how to post pics without just having to show a link? PS. This is the link to the book I am speaking of. It was required reading for my illustration and watercolour classes back when I was in college. I know you will love it!!! books.google.com/books?id=IpzfAAAAMAAJ&dq=fairies&source=gbs_book_other_versions

Smiley, thankyou for providing a link about the book! I'd love to buy it but I've actually mentioned on here recently that I need to cut down my purchases a little I've one a little mad with buying music recently! Perhaps I will be abe to borrow it from my local library though And I really look foward to seeing some of your artwork! Thankyou for nominating me to do the artwork for the forum CD, we'll have to see what everyone else thinks! I'm sure I could design something if folks want me too but I'd need some suggestions and ideas, left to my own devices I'd end up designing something with mushrooms, rainbows, fairies etc - not sure if that would be appropriate! ;D BTW, I plan on adding some more pictures to this thread on Friday!

Glad you like that book. It was fairly popular back in the day and I know it has been re-printed amny times since it's release. Give your local library a call. If they don't have it, maybe they can borrow it for you from another library close-by, if they have a policy like that. I know my library does, but that's here in the states. Looking forward to more stuff and who says you can't incorporate a fairie or two in your artwork??

Thanks Uncleson! I'm honoured that you and Smiley think i'm up to the job. Does somebody usually do artwork for the forum comps? Of course I'd be glad to do it but I don't want to step on anybody's toes!

I'm dissapointed I didn't get to see you painting Smiley Especially after reading Uncleson's response! I'm really curious! I'm one of the few people who doesn't have a Facebook account so I could'nt access it I'd be intrested to see some of the covers you designed for previous forum comps - If that would be possible!
