August 25, 1972 -- The Kinks release a new double-album, Everybody's In Show-Biz, in the United States (it will appear a week later in the UK). The album uniquely pairs a first LP with all new studio recordings with a second LP of a live show. Described by the Crawdaddy reviewer as "Ray's America album," it will eventually reach #70 in the States but does not chart at all in Britain.
