I found this one through a link on the KinKaKinks website. It was posted from Ray's 2010 touring band the 88 on their Facebook Page. I know Holly will appreciate this, Ray and Elvis Costello. Wish we coulda been at this party!!! yfrog.com/0lj4dnzThis is a video of Ray performing YRGM at the Party. Attachments:

I'll bet that was a thrill for Elvis too! I know he's a fan. His cover of "Days" is one of my favorites.

New Wes Anderson movie "Moonrise Kingdom", I wonder if there will be any Kinks songs? I do know that there is a hurricane in the movie. " We were lost then found............

Sadly, the soundtrack doesn't seem to include any Kinks this time around. Lots of Hank Williams, though! Otherwise a few French pop songs and lots of classical stuff. I know that Wes Anderson is a Kinks fan -- I loved how he used those Kinks song in Darjeeling Limited! -- and I can think right now of about 6 Kinks songs that would have fit the movie's story of escaping to another happier world. Wes, you've let us down!*
* but I still plan to see this movie...

Yes, it looks like fun! His film never managed to get the Kinks back together, but at least it led to new opportunities for him.

Great, Gary -- thanks for posting!
I wonder how Ray got interested in Bulgarian folk songs. Sometimes I think he just grabs stuff like that out of thin air when he's being interviewed.
This Hyde Park concert tonight should be amazing. Not only are Ray and Elvis playing, but Nick Lowe is performing on a side stage. And the tickets are free! It was originally set up by Elton John as a charity thing and the tickets were expensive, but when Sir Elton had to cancel for throat reasons, they decided to carry on with the other musicians and make it free. Don't I wish I could have flown over to the UK for that show!!!

Maybe he's talking about the album Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares, which was a worldwide hit in the 1980s. If I had it, I'd put it on now myself!
