Hello my Kinks friends, new member here. This morning our local independent radio station mentioned "rumblings/rumours" of a possible Kinks tour this year. What is the latest, and where/when might there be more info?
Thanks in advance and hello to all from Brooklyn!

Missmichael, you live in Brooklyn? (I'm just over the river in Manhattan.) Did you hear about the Ray Davies solo tour that's going on right now? Check the Ray Davies thread for news on that. Several of us saw him out on Long Island last Saturday night, but he's also playing Poughkeepsie and Hartford this coming weekend.
As for the rumored Kinks tour -- those rumors have been flying periodically for years. I'll believe it when I start to see bookings!
Welcome to the forum!

I'd just like to add a quick note about forum etiquette -- because this has been such a happy place and I'd like to keep it that way.
1. Forum members should respect each other by not posting information on multiple threads.
2. Please respect your fellow forum members by not filling up the forum with aimless comments designed simply to increase post count or to bump a certain thread up above others. We are all friends here, not rivals, and such childish competition does us all a disservice.
3. Please refrain from posting replies to your own previous posts. This forum is meant to be a dialogue, not a monologue.
4. Please use the Personal Message (PM) function if you want to make private plans with a fellow forum member.
That's about it for the moment -- thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Every one of these rules has been broken in one way or another in the past few weeks. (Yes, even by you Martin. ) However, some people are far more guilty than others. This is meant as a friendly reminder; I felt it might be helpful to have a public statement of our expectations. Hopefully we all have enough consideration for our fellow forum members to abide by these guidelines.

I hope this is the right place for this question: What does it mean when there's a little yellow clapping guy next to the name of a thread? I've been wondering about that for a while.

I just use it as a "Well done" or a "Congratulations"!
