There are great choices on that list. Personally, I think VGPS maintains a higher standard of excellence throughout. But this isn't about the relative merits of those recordings, it is simply the Kinks vs the world. And we must, we MUST defeat those forces of evil. . After all, we need to think about the next generation of Kinksters.

If it wasn't for our KinKiness, we'd be just like everybody else.

Well stated, Rose. I am a fan too. But the Beatles aren't in need of more accolades. They don't need to win yet another poll as best record. Very few rock fans have ever heard of VGPS despite it's stature in the Kinks community. I'm sure the most obscure track on the White Album has received orders of magnitude more radio airplay than all tracks on VGPS combined. Let the little guy win for a change, ;D I may have overstated it just a little. It's not unusual for a rock station to have an all Beatles Weekend or to play an album like the White Album in it's entirety. That probably happens less and less given the strict formatting of commercial rock radio.

Not overstated at all, Sancho (errrr, I mean, dave). When was the last time anything from VGPS received airplay >:(other than on my son's college radio show?)

Yeah, but it doesn't mean they got zero votes, 'cause my sweetie and I both voted for them with other browsers on other computers! Must have to get a certain number of votes to even get to 1%. (To clarify, first I voted for the Kinks! )
