That's pretty cool. I have a Harmony H64 (1964). Now, I've just got to play some Kinks stuff with it! I'll post a picture of it soon.

Here's my Harmony H64: Not as versataille as a Gibson or anything like that. It wants to sound like itself, and itself only it seems.

Actually, it isn't considered to be a 'great' guitar. Harmony guitars were cheap in the sixties - they were sold through Sears. More Harmonys were sold in the sixties than any other guitar.
I wasn't familiar with them at all when I came across mine in a used guitar shop. But after looking at it I just had to try it, and I loved it. Traded in a Squire Telecaster, a Yamaha 450 acoustic plus a hundred bucks and the guitar was mine. Had to change the tuning heads because of tuning problems but other than that its been fine.
My advice to anyone buying a guitar is to try the used shops first. Usually you can get a good deal. Plus, if its a twenty year old guitar, been through the bumps and what not - and if it sounds great today, you know its good. Unlike a new guitar where you don't know what its going to sound like in five, ten years.

I know it's not considered a great guitar, probably that's why Dave had it in the early days... But still I really wish I had one, just for what it means! It's a bit of Rock'n'Roll history.

My first guitar was a Harmony.. Kevin has is now. My first Electric guitar was also a Harmony. It looked very much like Ginny's, but Red. I wish I STILL has that one. Traded it and some $ for a Gibson SG. Wish I still had THAT one too.

I once traded a Hagstrom Goya (the one in my new avatar - its also on the cover of the April Wine album "Electric Jewels", only in red) for two megs of ram...
