I was in a Chicago based band called the MEASURE for several years. I was their lead singer and sometimes rhythm gee-tar player. I later sold it to help pay for art school. -- Kevin still ribs me about it. Candy Apple Red Gibson SG. It was purdy
We played original material Pop/Punk/New Wave styles and also covered some Blondie material.
I gave up the gee-tar and picked up a paint brush and charcoal pencil. I found I could actually make a living, coloring all day long PS.. I can still strum chords -- badly.
Chris...yeah I've been in quite a few bands through out the 70's, as a drummer and front man vocalist...let's just say there are lots of stories of my band exploits Anyway I see you are from bergen County New Jersey too, what part, and are you interested in forming a band. I could be persuaded to play again if the FBI, State, and local Police didn't object

Might be fun to play sometime! I'll send you a message and we'll try to coordinate something. Haven't been in a band in a longtime, but I've tried to keep up the instruments a bit. I dabble in Guitar, Drums and Vocals. If you find yourself bored and with some free time, here's some samples of my 'work' (for lack of a better word).
I'm playing/singing everything but the piano on these recordings... could never quite get the hang of that ;D

Let's see...I'm not really a musician, but as a "folk" dancer, I feel a real kinship with musicians--after all without them I'd be dancing in silence. I used to play trumpet (!) in junior high which has made me interested in dabbling, if you can call it that, on the kuhorn (Swedish cow's horn)--yes, really... And I've always had a fondness for musical saw (some of the best ones are made in Sweden).
My sweetheart (a Kinks fan, but not crazed enough to read the message boards) plays rock and roll drums; old-timey mandolin; Cajun, Swedish, & Norwegian flat fiddle and various stringed things. He's made a CD with his old timey group and a CD of folk/fiddle tunes from Varmland, Sweden. I'm his official groupie! ;D
[I'm looking forward to checking out everyone's links when I'm at a computer with a faster connection. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a Luddite -- I've still got dial-up ]
I know of at least 3 quite talented musicians who occasionally post here, but only rarely -- Bill Jerram down in Texas, Jeff Crouch in Florida, and elgoodson over in Belgium. Imaginary Man is a fine musician too (don't argue, IM). I'm sure I've missed others who have been too modest about their talents.
You may also sometimes hear us refer to a member who is sadly no longer with us, Tom Gallagher, who was an extremely gifted musician.
I doubt I could ever be considered a musician, but I did play in a band very long ago, in the seventies. We called ourselves Wild Horses, and, as you would expect, did mostly Stones covers, with some Kinks, and blues clasics thrown in. We used to play in little discoteques in Madrid and surroundings, and had a lot of fun. I was the singer. L
