was at the album launch at Rough Trade East - plenty of people attended 100-150 Ray was charming and interesting and it was a good interesting hour, with everyone hanging off every word that came out of his mouth: very interesting to hear there might be a Vol III which might cover 'homecomming'... or at least that's what I thought he impled in answer to a question.
Very nice treat that Mick was there: which means all three of the Kinkers are in London town right now... I reckon theyre are secretly putting down tracks right now at Konk.

Americana (Our Country) Act 2, I think the first part is more creative and it surpasses the second part of the music, but it does not mean that it is a good complement to the first part and leaves a lot of Ray Davies in a great state of way making great albumnes. In conclusion the Saga of Americana in its entirety is a very good work of Mr. Ray Davies. Of the best that can be heard today.

Americana Act 2 (Our Country) without reaching the level of its first part, but it is still a creative delight that shows us this wonderful and extraodinary composer. The album does not fall at any time, on the contrary the album is winning as it goes by, and it shows us a lot of variety and diverse in the American musical. This album shows us a more black and purer American sound than the previous one of what makes it more interesting and more versatile to the American project. I honestly did not think that at this point Ray Davies with such a long project and so much creative height and sound came to do this wonderful musical work. My favorite theme "March Of Zombies" and without stopping continuously "The Big Weird", the incredible metal sounds with the best black American sound ... Although I love them all !!! HI Martin!!! What do you think about the second part (Our Country)? What is your assessment of this complete album?
Greetings friend from my beloved Spain.

Americana Act 1 seems to me to be a better album, but something repetitive to the albums Muswell Hillbillies and Everybody Showiz, and even an operetta that I could precisely see entered the great Preservation Act 2 "A Place In Your Heart". American Act 2 seems more interesting to me and you have very good moments of variety of black music in which I have never seen Ray Davies compose with The Kinks, much more Jazz, Soul and Funk ... Act 1 has more memorable themes than Act 2, but I still like that touch of black music from the second act that Ray Davies has not seen much in his long career as a musician.
