Just wanted to spread the word about Wesley Stace's novel WonderKid, which I've just finished. It's a story about a 90s-era English band that somehow gets sucked into a US career as a children's-rock band. All of which is interesting in its own right, but I was struck by how often the author knowledgeably mentions the Kinks. (Turns out that he, in his recording persona as John Wesley Harding, once opened for the Kinks). Who knew?
I highly recommend that you buy and read this book.
